The name aquamarine comes from the latin words aqua (water) and marina (sea), meaning "water of the sea" because of the mystical blue-green color. In ancient times, sailors believed aquamarine had power to calm the sea and offer protection from storms. This ring is handcrafted in platinum, featuring a oval-cut aquamarine set in between two accent diamonds.
